More than a year after it was proposed to achieve 1 trillion dollars in revenue by 2030 and become a world-class technology company, GAC's trillion blueprint gradually became clear.

On April 25, at the Beijing Auto Show, Feng Xingya, general manager of GAC Group, announced the “Smart Drive 2027” action plan to make every effort to achieve the goal of driverless driving.

Specifically, GAC plans to use three years to achieve the two major leaders in product experience and travel scenarios, based on the three major technologies of GAC's AI big model platform, Xingling electronic and electrical architecture, and intelligent connected big data platform, supported by intelligent ecology, R&D investment, and talent, to provide intelligent support for the “trillion GAC”.

As the core of intelligence, Feng Xingya also revealed a series of autonomous driving goals, including achieving mass production of GAC's L3 autonomous driving technology next year. As one of the first domestic car companies to apply for L3 autonomous driving, Haobo models equipped with L3 autonomous driving technology are being tested in Guangzhou; in 2026, L3+ autonomous driving with a wider range of usage scenarios will be mass-produced; in 2027, L4 autonomous driving for users will be launched and mass-produced.

It is worth mentioning that as an independent brand that first applied connected vehicle technology, the GAC Group built the first L2+ model mass-produced and delivered in China as early as 2019. Furthermore, the L2++ class unmapped city NDA function based on “multi-sensor fusion” technology is already installed on Haobo models, and it is planned to achieve nationwide coverage within 2024.

As for the “Smart Drive 2027” action plan, it seems that GAC has been paving the way for a long time.

On April 12, GAC released technologies such as the Garcia Smart Driving System, the first picture-free visual autonomous driving system in China, and set a target for full mass production in the spring of 2026.

Furthermore, GAC is also working closely with leading companies in various fields to accelerate the commercialization of L4 autonomous driving.

On April 7, the joint venture between Aian and Didi Autonomous Driving was approved. It plans to launch the first commercial L4 model next year. Currently, the product definition of the first model has been completed.

Not long ago, on March 19, at the NVIDIA GTC conference, Nvidia and Aeon's high-end new energy brand Haobo announced that they will join forces to mass-produce L4 cars and collaborate in the fields of high-performance computing, intelligent driving technology, and deep learning. The new car will be equipped with the NVIDIA DRIVE Thor dual chip and will be mass-produced in 2025.

The other side of GAC's autonomous driving efforts is that since 2024, car companies have upgraded the knockout tournament, and the industry's internal pressure has intensified, and GAC has also felt this pressure.

According to the first quarterly report, GAC produced and sold 403,000 vehicles and 410,000 vehicles, respectively, with total operating revenue of about 21.566 billion yuan and net profit to mother of about 1,220 billion yuan.

At this point, if it can successfully ride on the spring breeze of autonomous driving and consolidate the “moat” of technology, GAC can not only hope to achieve the target of 10% annual sales growth, but also accelerate transformation and break through the siege.

At that time, GAC will go one step further from its grand blueprint to achieve a “trillion GAC.”
