Gelonghui Finance ·  Apr 26 07:08

On April 26, Shell, a technology-driven one-stop new residential service platform, released the 2023 Annual, Social and Governance (ESG) Report. In 2023, Shell will continue to focus on key areas such as quality assurance, business ethics, talent development, low-carbon operation, and community welfare, and actively work to promote consumer stability, happy service providers, and sustainable organizational development.

At the beginning of this year, the latest rating results announced by MSCI, an authoritative international index agency, showed that with excellent performance in management and practice in the fields of human capital development, corporate behavior, privacy, and data security protection, Shell's ESG rating was upgraded from BB to BBB, which is at the top of China's Internet platform companies.

The residential service industry has a long chain, many participants, and complicated processes. The process of industrial transformation and upgrading is inseparable from the refinement of the professional abilities of service providers based on correct values. Through its technical and management advantages, Shell empowers service providers in the platform's various businesses, helping them move from employment and career to happiness.

In order to enhance the professionalism and professional skills of service providers, Shell provides a diverse and complete training system for different roles such as agents, store owners, brands, and home improvement service providers, and is committed to building a talent training ecosystem in the residential field.

Since 2011, Chainjia has launched the “Learning Challenge” for agents to encourage agents to continuously improve their professional abilities in a positive cycle of “learning - application - examination - learning”. In recent years, Shell has set up richer content in the assessment, such as manpower, finance, brokerage services, and home decoration design, to improve the professionalism and professional ability of service providers in a targeted manner, and also broaden the scope of the assessment population. Cadres, functional employees, and service providers from various businesses have all participated in the “Great Study Test”. In 2023, 420,632 people participated in the online exam. By the end of 2023, the total number of references to the “Boxing Test” had exceeded 2.8 million.

To achieve the high-quality development of industry talents, in 2023, Shell launched the “I am studying for a master's degree at Shell” continuing education program and launched an in-service graduate program majoring in real estate economics and management with the School of Public Administration of Renmin University of China to provide agents with opportunities to continue learning, help agents improve their professionalism and knowledge reserves, and achieve an overall improvement in agent abilities.

In order to improve the management capabilities of store owners, Shell built the Huaqiao Academy and launched a professional certification training model for store owners to help store owners improve their business efficiency through training courses, practical cases, etc. By the end of 2023, Huaqiao Academy had carried out 51 training sessions for store owners, with 10,235 training stores and 7,790 certified store owners, exporting more backbone strength to the industry.

As the home improvement business becomes an important business area, Shell's training system for home improvement service providers is also becoming more and more perfect. For project managers, home improvement workers, installers, etc., Shell has launched various training programs such as integrated training, special training, and reserve training, covering the entire career development process of home improvement service providers, building high-quality teams, and reserving outstanding talents for quality upgrades in the home improvement industry. For example, the “Mortise Plan” is aimed at improving the management capabilities of project managers in the seven major areas of construction period, quality, service, manpower, materials, tools, and finance by answering actual questions in the business; “jump classes” for installation masters disseminate professional skills in the form of short videos. In 2023, the “Mortise Project” was implemented in 18 regions, covering more than 600 people. “Jumping Classroom” released a total of 16 classroom videos, which were viewed more than 48,141 times.

The happiness of service providers is an important condition for consumers to live in peace. In the future, Shell will continue to invest in ESG system construction, insist on being “good for customers” and “good for service providers”, and cultivating more high-quality industrial talents, thus driving the upgrading of service quality and consumer experience in the industry.
