On April 26, GLONGHUI | Xinao Energy (02688.HK) announced that in the three months ending March 31, 2024, the Group recorded retail sales volume of 7.237 billion cubic meters of natural gas, an increase of 2.7% over the previous year. Among them, the gas sales volume of industrial and commercial users recorded a 2.9% year-on-year increase to 5.224 billion cubic meters, while the gas sales volume for people's livelihood also increased 2.5% year-on-year to 1,947 billion cubic meters. During the period, the Group's newly developed projects for industrial, commercial and home users remained steady. Newly developed industrial and commercial users have installed 2,929,000 cubic meters of gas per day, and 343,000 newly developed household users who have completed project installations.
In the context of the dual carbon target, natural gas will continue to maintain an important position in China's energy transformation. At the same time, steady macroeconomic growth, falling international gas prices, and gradual improvement of market-based pricing mechanisms have further supported the sustainable development of natural gas. The Group will actively seize the huge economic growth space contained in China's economic structural transformation and upgrading in 2024 and high-quality social development opportunities, continue to expand the basic natural gas market through consolidation of existing customers and mergers and acquisitions, and maintain steady growth in the natural gas business.
As of March 31, 2024, the Group has put into operation a total of 311 large-scale pan-energy projects, and pan-energy business sales increased 29.4% year-on-year to 9.136 billion kilowatt-hours.
