Gelonghui, April 26, 丨 CNPC (00603.HK) announced that for the year ended December 31, 2023, the Group recorded a turnover of HK$18.528 billion, compared with HK$17.297 billion in 2022, an increase of 7.1%. The total turnover is divided into four segments, sales and transportation of natural gas and other related products, gas pipeline construction and connection, extraction and production of crude oil and natural gas, and production and sale of coal-based clean energy and other related products, respectively, amounting to HK$14.096 billion, HK$1,145 million, HK$502 million and HK$2,785 million (2022: HK$14.617 billion, HK$960 million, HK$727 million and HK$993 million respectively). During the reporting period, the owner of the company was responsible for a loss of HK$232 million, and the profit attributable to the company owner was HK$730 million in the same period last year, with a basic loss of HK4.7 cents per share.
The Group's overall gross profit was HK$1,971 million (2022: HK$2,121 million), a decrease of 7.1%; losses attributable to company owners during the year were HK$232 million. As at 31 December 2023, the Group's net impairment loss on financial and contract assets was HK$201 million; net impairment of investment in a joint venture was HK$141 million. As at 31 December 2022, the depreciation of the Group's oil and gas assets under property, plant and equipment was reverted back to HK$118 million. The Group regards the above projects as one-time projects and will not affect the Group's daily operations and cash flow. The Company has applied to the Stock Exchange to resume trading of the Company's shares on the Stock Exchange starting at 9:00 a.m. on April 26, 2024.
