According to Zhitong Finance App, IMAX CHINA (01970) announced the controlling shareholder IMAX Corporation's results for the first quarter of 2024, with revenue of US$79.123 million, a year-on-year decrease of 9%; net profit attributable to common shareholders of US$3.274,000, an increase of 33.41% year on year; and net profit per share of US$0.06.
According to the announcement, the decrease in revenue was mainly due to lower IMAX system renewal levels (non-recurring) and lower aftermarket sales (due to the 3D movie Avatar: The Way of Water) in the first quarter of 2023.
