Singapore Shares Fall; OKP Soars 7%

Singapore's Strait Times Index dropped on Thursday, tracking subdued performances in the global markets.

During the day, the benchmark Singapore Strait Times Index ranged between 3,249.01 and 3,290.01, ending 0.16% or 5.38 points higher at 3,287.75.

OKP's (SGX:5CF) shares surged over 7% after its wholly owned subsidiary, Eng Lam Contractors secured a contract worth SG$92.9 million from the Land Transport Authority (LTA) for the construction of new cycling path networks across the western sector of Singapore.

Shares of Sarine Technologies (SGX:U77) were down nearly 4% after it granted 1 million shares as part of its employee share options scheme at an exercise price of SG$0.26 per share.

Shares of Yangzijiang Shipbuilding (SGX:BS6) fell nearly 2% after the shipbuilder revealed that it will make a final dividend payment of SG$0.065 per share for the year ended Dec. 31, 2023, subject to approval of the shareholders at the company's annual general meeting.
