According to the news, Minmetals Resources announced that in the first quarter of this year, total copper production was 67,129 tons, a decrease of 3% year-on-year. Among them, Las Bambas copper production was 5,6025 tons, a decrease of 4%, mainly due to a decrease in mineral processing grade; Kinseever's electrolytic copper production was 9732 tons, a decrease of 6%. During the quarter, total zinc production was 59,247 tons, an increase of 93%.
Furthermore, Minmetals Resources announced that Li Liangang has resigned as the company's temporary CEO and Executive Director due to considering retirement, effective yesterday (24th). The board of directors has appointed Cao Liang as the company's chief executive officer and executive director, effective from the same day.
