Brookside Energy Ltd (ASX:BRK, OTC:RDFEF) continues to progress the multi-well Flames-Maroons Development Plan (FMDP) in Oklahoma’s Anadarko Basin at pace with drilling underway at Fleury Well, the third in the current four-well program.
After completing the casing and cementing of the Maroons Well lateral section, the Kenai 19 drill rig was walked to the nearby Fleury Well and drilling of the intermediate section commenced.
Brookside is currently drilling ahead at Fleury with the well already at a depth of approximately 2,250 feet.
About the FMDP
The FMDP is a multi-well drilling program targeting the highly productive Sycamore and Woodford formations in the core of the southern SCOOP Play in the southern part of the Anadarko Basin.
Of the four wells in the multi-well program, three are being drilled from the Sanford Pad - the Fleury, Maroons and Iginla Wells.
Once these wells have been drilled and cased the drill rig will move to the Flames Well pad and drill the fourth well, the Rocket Well.
Third of four wells
The Fleury surface hole section had been drilled previously along with the surface holes of both the Iginla and Maroons Wells as part of efficient pad drilling practices.
This well is the third of four wells to be drilled and completed in this "transformational" development program and is targeting the Woodford Formation.
The Fleury Well is located on the Sanford Pad along with the Iginla and Maroons Wells allowing the rig to be walked from drill centre to drill centre resulting in very efficient “continuous” drilling rather than requiring a costly and time-consuming full rig-down/rig-up.
