Gelonghui, April 24 | ASMPT (00522.HK) announced that for the first quarter of 2024, sales revenue was HK$3.14 billion (US$401 million), -19.9% year-on-year and -7.8% quarterly; total new orders were HK$3.20 billion (US$409 million), -9.8% year-on-year and +17.0% quarterly; profit of HK$177 million, +134.5% quarterly; adjusted profit was HK$177 million, -43.7% year-on-year and +132.1% quarterly; Basic earnings per share was HK$0.43.
Sales revenue for the first quarter of 2024 was HK$3.14 billion (US$401 million), up to the median forecast released last time. Sales revenue declined by 7.8% quarterly due to a decline in sales revenue for both the Semiconductor Solutions segment and the Surface Mount Technology Solutions division. Coupled with the continued downward cycle of semiconductors, the semiconductor solutions division declined even more.
Thanks to the strong demand for advanced packaging solutions from the Semiconductor Solutions Division and the Surface Mount Technology Solutions Division, the Group's total new orders increased 17.0% quarterly to HK$3.20 billion (US$409 million). As of March 31, 2024, the Group's total outstanding orders remained stable at around US$849 million.
