According to the Zhitong Finance App, Jianye New Life (09983) announced results for the year ended December 31, 2023, with revenue of 2,845 billion yuan (RMB, same below), down 9.6% year on year; loss attributable to the company's shareholders was 574 million yuan, profit of 562 million yuan for the same period last year; basic loss per share was 0.45 yuan.
During the year, the Group's performance changed from profit to loss, with a net loss rate of 20.3% (2022: net profit margin 18.1%). This was due to the downturn in the real estate industry and the Group accrued credit impairment losses during the year based on prudence.
As of December 31, 2023, the construction area under construction was 181.8 million square meters and the contract construction area reached 288.3 million square meters, up 16.0% and 6.2% respectively from December 31, 2022.
