Since April 19, heavy rain and partial torrential rain have occurred in many cities and counties in north-central Guangdong Province. River floods have risen rapidly, and the heavy rainfall process has continued.

China Taibao attached great importance to it. Local branches quickly set up rescue and disaster relief teams to promptly issue early warning tips and protective measures to ensure that disaster management work was carried out in an orderly manner; countless Taibaolan went deep into the frontline of disaster damage in the wind and rain, investigated the disaster situation on the ground, made every effort to control flood and disaster relief in accordance with the guiding philosophy of “fast and accurate” disaster response, and provided customers with “fast, easy, and extremely warm” claims services.

Late night rescue, Taibao service is by your side

Affected by the torrential rain, Zhaoqing City in Guangdong was flooded over a large area, traffic was blocked, and vehicles were in trouble. At 3 a.m. on April 21, Chinese Taibao surveyor Huang Yaofeng received reports from customers that the vehicle had been parked and that the water level was still rising, and that some data inside the car could not be flooded. Due to poor visibility in the early morning, the car owner was afraid to go. In a moment of urgency, the car owner dialed 95500 to seek help.

Investigator Huang Yaofeng rushed the customer, arranged for a trailer to immediately rush to the scene, and coordinated the transportation of the rescued vehicle to the customer's designated maintenance unit. Since the vehicle was rescued in a timely manner, the customer's vehicle data was saved in a timely manner, and the vehicle was flooded. The car owner was moved to say, “Late in the middle of the wind and rain, thanks to Taibao Service to help in a timely manner.”

Affected by torrential rain, flooding occurred in many places in Qingyuan, Guangdong on April 19. China's Taibao surveyor Shan Dongdong received a report. The customer claimed that the vehicle had been flooded. Since the person reporting the case was an old man who said he didn't know how to use a mobile phone to take pictures and didn't know how to handle it, investigator Shan Dongdong rushed to the scene as soon as possible with Ru Zonghan, the major case officer, to promptly calm the customer and assist the customer in driving the car to the highland area, and to answer the customer one-on-one about the next claim process. The car owner even praised Taibao's professional and heart-warming service.

Lightning claims, take more measures to deal with the torrential rain disaster

The land of southern Guangdong was hit by rare strong convective weather, which also impacted agricultural production in various parts of Guangdong to a certain extent. Among them, the Shaoguan region of Guangdong was particularly severely damaged. In the early morning of April 21, Ruyuan Yao Autonomous County was hit by heavy convective torrential rain. Roads were interrupted, crops were damaged on a large scale, and farming enterprises were severely damaged. Faced with the sudden disaster, the affected enterprises and farmers were extremely anxious and made urgent reports to the Guangdong branch of China Taibao Industrial Insurance.

After receiving the report, China Taibao Insurance Guangdong Branch immediately launched a “flash claim” green channel. Relying on technological means such as drones, “E agricultural insurance”, and remote sensing, it broke through traffic barriers and efficiently completed remote investigation and damage determination. Within just five hours of receiving the report, China's Taibao completed the post-disaster claim process and quickly prepaid 2.4 million yuan for planting insurance and 375,000 yuan for farming insurance, totaling 2.75,000 yuan, to provide timely financial support and psychological comfort to affected enterprises and farmers to help them respond positively to the disaster situation and resume production.

In order to prevent bad weather from causing major losses to agricultural production, China Taibao Insurance Guangdong Branch organized and carried out various disaster prevention and mitigation measures. Beginning April 19, agricultural insurance commissioners from China Taibao Insurance Guangdong Branch visited farmers separately and inspected flower fields and fish ponds with farmers to ensure that disaster prevention equipment and measures were in place.

Mr. Lu's fish pond, a farmer in Hailing Village, Xingtan Town, Shunde District, Foshan, Guangdong, is close to the East China Sea Channel. The terrain is low and vulnerable to internal flooding. The agricultural insurance commissioner helped Mr. Lu build a high pond base and also set up a protective net to prevent aquatic products from being washed away if torrential rain floods the pond or floods.

In the early morning of April 21, another large-scale torrential rain occurred in Gaoming District, Foshan, Guangdong. After receiving a call from farmer Mr. Wen, Li Jiafeng, China's Taibao Agricultural Insurance Commissioner, braved the wind and rain to investigate the accident site in Jigang Village, Genghe Town, Gaoming District. The wind and rain continued. The accumulated water in the flower garden flooded the drainage channels, and the bonsai seedlings were blown down. Li Jiafeng quickly learned about the disaster situation, carried out an on-site investigation, explained the claims to Mr. Wen, and also helped Mr. Wen move the flower seedlings to a safer place with higher terrain to prevent further damage caused by torrential rain and high winds.

China Taibao will continue to pay attention to weather changes, give full play to its professional advantages in insurance, actively participate in emergency and disaster relief, further increase online claims support, implement green communication policies, document relief, quick case handling and quick payment during disasters; at the same time, organize reasonable human and material resources, contact rescue resources such as third-party cooperative rescuers, 4S store maintenance plants, etc., to carry out rescue operations in Qingyuan, Shaoguan, Zhaoqing and other places severely affected by the disaster to deal with torrential rain disasters in all aspects to protect people's lives and property safety.
