Glonghui, April 12, 丨 Saint Martin International (00482.HK) announced that with the annual results for the year ended December 31, 2023, the Group's annual revenue is approximately HK$562 million. The Group lost approximately HK$95.1 million in the year before deducting financing costs, income tax expenses, depreciation, amortization and repayment of prepaid lease payments. The Group's annual loss was approximately HK$136.6 million. The annual loss attributable to the owners of group companies is approximately HK$126.6 million. The Group's basic loss per share for the year was approximately HK14.75 cents.
Although the global economy is gradually recovering from the pandemic, geopolitical and geo-economic tensions remain unresolved. In view of these fluctuating factors and challenges, the Group will continue to manage its cash flow position in a prudent manner and will seek promising business opportunities in the manufacturing segment (and even other industries) of emerging markets in order to expand the Group's revenue streams to cope with adverse economic cycles.
Looking ahead, the board of directors is convinced that the Group's growth will depend on the business opportunities brought by the latest 5G peripherals, the Internet of Things and related products. To meet anticipated business opportunities, the Group's R&D team is developing new 5G-related products in response to market trends. New products under development include the next generation of radio channel and antenna products. The Group's R&D team is currently focusing on the development of these products at its research center in Hsinchu, Taiwan. It is hoped that the Group's latest 5G-related products will bring more business opportunities as well as revenue and profit to the Group.
