American Airlines, JAL's Pacific Joint Business Partner (*), will launch a new Haneda-New York route from 2024/6/28. Along with this, JAL will implement codeshare on this route.
By adding direct flights between Haneda and New York by American Airlines to the joint business network, it is possible to select from 3 round trips per day from different time zones, including 2 direct flights per day by JAL. Furthermore, the network will expand to various cities in the United States and Latin America via New York, further improving customer convenience.
(*) A joint business is a form of partnership between multiple airline companies, and it is possible to jointly adjust timetables and transit times and operate operations. By operating the service together, both companies will increase convenience for customers, such as increasing flight schedule options and shortening transit times.

From 2023/5, JAL changed the terminal used at New York/John F. Kennedy International Airport to “Terminal 8.” This terminal is the main terminal for American Airlines, and the convenience of connecting with American Airlines flights connecting cities within the US and Latin America has been improved. Additionally, at Terminal 8, you can use two new lounges co-operated by American Airlines and British Airways, such as the Soho Lounge and Greenwich Lounge. The lounge, which opened in 2022, is equipped with the latest equipment, and you can enjoy a higher-grade meal, wine, etc. in a spacious space.

Also, at Flagship Business offered by American Airlines, all seats have full flat seats with direct aisle access, so you can relax and unwind. On flights between Japan and North America, you can enjoy a comfortable flight along with Japanese food devised by the chef and free entertainment enjoyed with pillows, blankets, and Bang & Olufsen headphones jointly developed with sleep technology company Casper.
