JELD-WEN Holding (NYSE:JELD) announced on Thursday the closure of its Vista, California, and Hawkins, Wisconsin, manufacturing facilities.
In connection with the site closures, JELD expects to incur one-time costs of ~$45M and generate annual pre-tax income improvements of at least $11M.
According to JELD, the Vista, California, site manufactures composite windows (marketed and sold under the brand name Auraline) and has ~110 associates.
"Multiple market factors have made it prohibitive to competitively sustain the composite windows product line and it will be discontinued," JELD said.
The Hawkins, Wisconsin, site manufactures wood windows and employs ~340 associates, the company said.
JELD said it will consolidate production from Hawkins into its wood windows manufacturing facility in Rantoul, Illinois.
