Offshore Oil Engineering (600583.SH): The cancellation of the Saudi oil service order is an oil service business and has nothing to do with offshore engineering

Gelonghui, April 9 | CNOOC Engineering (600583.SH) said on an interactive platform that the cancellation of the Saudi oil service order is an oil service business. It has nothing to do with Offshore Engineering, and it has no impact on orders already taken by Offshore. Currently, the company has received no information on the cancellation of large-scale development projects. Furthermore, the company's market development in the Middle East has fully covered the three countries of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, and there is currently no information or sign of a decline in investment in the other two countries. Specifically, in terms of the company's order types in the Middle East, the engineering projects undertaken by the company include two categories: new production capacity and renovation of old facilities. Often, the scope of work of general contracting orders includes both new production capacity and renovation of old facilities. As far as the newly built production capacity portion is concerned, the certainty of engineering investment in the development phase after the upstream company's final oil and gas investment decision (FID) is generally much higher than that of drilling type investment in the exploration stage. From an international perspective, there was almost no cancellation of investment during the construction phase of the project.
