According to the Zhitong Finance App, Dianchi Water (03768) announced that on October 16, 2015, the company signed a franchise contract with the Bokeo Special Economic Zone Management Committee of Laos. The company (through Dianchi Water (Laos)) invested in the construction of the Golden Triangle Water Plant and sewage treatment plant in Laos using the BOT model. On April 8, 2024, the company, Dianchi International, Dianchi Water (Laos) (as a project company), and the Bokeo Special Economic Zone Management Committee of Laos signed a franchise termination agreement. The company and the management committee of the Bokeo Special Economic Zone in Laos agreed to terminate the franchise contract signed by the two parties. Since the company and Dianchi Water (Laos) have fulfilled certain obligations and incurred expenses in accordance with the franchise contract, according to the relevant agreement on the franchise termination agreement, the company has the right to collect and the Laos Bokeo Special Economic Zone Management Committee is obligated to pay the corresponding price to the company or a subsidiary designated by the company.
