Gelonghui, April 5 | Liberal Arts Interactive (00434.HK) announced that at the beginning of April 2024, the Group signed an investment agreement with Catcher Data Limited to invest in the Web3 asset data platform RootData and has completed the investment.
Catcher Data is the owner of RootData, a Web3 asset data platform. Launched in 2022, RootData aims to make Web3 related investments more convenient by establishing a structured and visual on-chain and off-chain data system for Web3. Based on investment and financing data, RootData has successively established a series of functions such as project libraries, institutional databases, personal databases, tag maps, and ecological maps to help users efficiently obtain project information. RootData's database has been adopted by the Wall Street Journal, Coindesk, Decrypt and other media and leading opinion leaders in the industry.
The project was led by Northern Light Venture Capital (Northern Light Venture Capital), and was led by Liberal Arts Interactive, Mask Network's fund Bonfire Union LP, Sending Labs (owned by LinX Communication Limited), and SkyLandVentures SG PTE. LTD, GoPlus (owned by TOP LABS LTD), Basic Capital (owned by Chain VenturesLimited), Rebase D. Ventures (owned by XieRuiTech Limited), UniSat (owned by BrimlesTechnology Limited), and SeDAO Foundation Limited participated. The founder of Orbiter Finance, co-founder of Alchemy Pay, and co-founder of 0xScope Inc., also participated in the financing of the RootData project.
The board of directors believes that the relevant investment will further promote the Group's business development and layout in the Web3 field. It also indicates that the Group will further cultivate the Web3 field and use its rich experience in the Internet game field and the good opportunities of Hong Kong's New Web3 Policy to make the Group a pure and leading Web3 listed company.
