UCrest Bhd and MDC Asia Link Bhd have entered into a partnership to modernise dental healthcare through advanced technologies.

MDC, a dental clinic chain with 25 clinics in the Klang Valley, is pioneering the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) via UCrest's iMedic platform.

Through this collaboration, MDC will adopt iMedic as its clinic management system (CMS), enabling patients to track vital signs, biomarkers, and lifestyle factors affecting oral health via a mobile app.

Additionally, medical records, including X-ray images, will be digitised for easy access.

The partnership aims to revolutionise dental care, leveraging AI for enhanced image analysis and diagnosis, as well as 3D printing technology to produce high-quality dental products.

Moreover, MDC plans to deploy fundus cameras with AILab technology for non-invasive diagnosis of diabetic retinopathy.

MDC CEO, Dr. Aslan Bacho, expressed enthusiasm for transforming dental care services with AI, IoT, and digital technologies to provide superior care and operational efficiency.

Similarly, UCrest chairman, Eg Kah Yee, highlighted the personalised dental health plans enabled by iMedic and the role of AI in early disease prevention.

iMedic is a digital health platform developed by UCrest currently used in multiple countries in Asia, Middle East, and US.
