Gelonghui, April 5 | AEON CREDIT (00900.HK) announced that for the year ended February 29, 2024, it achieved revenue of HK$1,623 million, up 31.8% year on year; profit attributable to the owners of the company was HK$392 million, up 5% year on year; basic profit per share was 93.67 HK cents. The board of directors recommended a final dividend of HK$24.0 cents per share.
With the gradual recovery of the economic situation, the Group has implemented a number of marketing programs, leading to a continuous increase in credit card and personal loan receivables. Compared with the balance of February 28, 2023, the total amount of loans and accounts receivable from customers recorded an increase of HK$1,125 billion on February 29, 2024. Along with the increase in credit card consumer interest rates, the Group recorded a sharp increase of 32.5%, or HK$335 million, from HK$1,032 million in the previous year to HK$1,367 million in the reporting year.
