Singapore Shares Up at Market Close; Fu Yu Shares Surge 7%

Singapore's Strait Times Index ended higher on Thursday, following mixed overnight results in US and European markets.

During the day, the benchmark Singapore Strait Times Index ranged between 3,232.11 and 3,255.33, ending 0.38% or 12.35 points lower at 3,235.01.

In company news, shares of Fu Yu Corporation (SGX:F13) were up 7% after the company teamed up with myFirst Partners to expand the latter's presence to 20,000 locations including Walmart, Costco and Best Buy.

Oversea-Chinese Banking Corp.'s (SGX:O39) shares were up 1% after it announced that it is looking to redevelop three of its properties in Singapore's central business district.

Meanwhile, Cromwell European REIT's (SGX:CNNU) shares were up 1.4% after the company divested a non-core office asset in Poland for around 15.9 million euros as part of its strategy to cut exposure to non-core markets and B/C grade office assets.
