According to the contract for the new notes dated November 20, 2023, the company chose to pay all interest on the new notes in kind on the interest payment date March 30, 2024 (interest payment date). The total amount of interest in kind (interest in kind) accumulated as of the interest payment date was US$192 million, and the accumulation of interest in kind increased the outstanding principal amount of the new notes from the initial issuance amount of US$5.705 billion to US$5.896 billion on the interest payment date.
