China Construction Fortis (00138.HK): Net loss attributable to parent company equity owners of HK$577 million in 2023

On April 2, GLONGHUI | China Construction Fortis (00138.HK) announced that in 2023, the Group's revenue was HK$765 million, a decrease of HK$47 million or 5.8% compared to 2022. This is due to a slowdown in the growth of the antique car market, leading to a decline in vintage car sales. In a challenging operating environment, the Group recorded a net loss of HK$577 million, an increase of 24.1% over the net loss of HK$465 million in 2022, mainly due to changes in the fair value of the property portfolio and valuable collections held as investments, increased financing costs and a lack of one-time litigation compensation income due to unrealized non-cash revaluation losses, impairment of accounts receivable, and soaring interest rates.
