KOSE Expands Personnel Systems and Benefits to Same-Sex Partners ~Eligible for Vacation, Leave of Absence, and Various Allowances~

KOSE ·  Mar 31 11:00

From 2024/4, KOSE Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Kazutoshi Kobayashi) has decided to expand the payment of leave, leave of absence, and various allowances to employees who have partners of the same gender on the family register under the personnel system that targeted marriage as a reason.

Based on the idea that diversity is the source of innovation, we have set “the practice of diversity and inclusion management” as one of the foundations of our medium- to long-term vision “VISION2026,” and have been working on it. Furthermore, from the viewpoint of diversity and inclusion, the concept of fairness (equity), which states that access to various information and opportunities should be fairly guaranteed, has been added, and these efforts are being accelerated.

For example, in addition to creating systems and environments for this purpose, we have created a “KOSÉ DE & I (Diversity Diversity/Equity Fairness/Integrity Inclusiveness)) Handbook,” which aims to further promote employees' understanding of diversity, inclusiveness, and fairness, and behavior change, and is being developed in-house.

This time, as one of these concrete initiatives, we have also targeted employees who have partners of the same gender on the family register in personnel systems such as leave, leave of absence, payment of various allowances, etc., which until now have been targeted due to marriage. We aim to be a company that continues to create “unique value” for diverse customers along with realizing an organization where employees can work in their own way and with peace of mind by building a foundation where each individual can fully demonstrate their abilities and fostering a culture that respects and enhances each other's individuality.
