Minisforum hosted its annual product launch conference in China where the company not only launched its V3 3-In-1 tablet with Ryzen 8040 APUs, but also introduced a completely new brand, AtomMan, which is dedicated to making high-performance Mini PCs based on AMD, Intel, & NVIDIA hardware.

The Minisforum V3 3-in-1 tablet has been in the talks for a while as it is the first such design with an AMD Ryzen 8040 "Hawk Point" APU. Today, the company is finally releasing this product to market & we have the full specifications plus the prices.

Minisforum V3 3-In-1 Tablet - World's First Ryzen 8040 AI PC Tablet

The Minisforum V3 3-in-1 Tablet comes equipped with the AMD Ryzen 7 8840U APU which has 8 cores, 16 threads, a boost clock of up to 5.1 GHz, 16 MB of L3 cache, 8 MB of L2 cache, and a TDP rated at 28W (15-30W cTDP). This chip features an AMD Radeon 780M iGPU with 12 cores clocked at 2700 MHz. The display is a 14-inch 16:10 2.5K 165Hz touch panel with a maximum brightness of 500 nits and there's a good amount of I/O which includes USB4, SD card reader, 3.5mm headphone jack, WIFI 6E+BT 5.3, all within a device that weighs less than 1kg. The battery is a 50.84Wh capacity and the device supports 65W fast charging.

As for the pricing, the 32 GB LPDDR5-6400 plus 1 TB Gen4 SSD storage variant is listed for 6999 RMB / 7199 RMB at JD.com which converts to $970 and $1000 US, respectively. The difference is that the higher-priced model comes with the magnetic stylus which can be an essential accessory for some tablet users.

AtomMan UM890WE Water-Cooled AMD Ryzen Mini PC

In addition to its V3 tablet, Minisforum also introduced a host of new products under its newly established AtomMan sub-brand. This brand will focus on making high-end mini PCs based on NVIDIA, Intel, and AMD hardware, and the first products are expected to hit pre-orders on the 20th of May.

One of the products that has been announced is the UM890WE which is a high-end Mini PC that is equipped with the AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS APU. This chip packs 8 cores, 16 threads, up to 5.2 GHz clock speeds, 16 MB of L3, and 8 MB of L2 cache, all at a TDP of 45W (35-54W cTDP). The chip comes packed with the Radeon 780M iGPU with 12 compute units clocked at 2800 MHz. The most interesting part is that the PC is all water-cooled and comes with a 3.5L chassis.

There's support for DDR5-5600 memory (64 GB max capacities), 2 M.2 Gen4 SSDs and a good array of I/O which includes 4 USB 3.2 Type-A, 2 USB4 (40 Gbps), HDMI 2.1, DP1.4 ports, OCULINK port & 2 2.5GbE LAN ports.

AtomMan Atom HX200G - All-AMD Powered With Ryzen 9 7945HX & Radeon 7600M XT

Another AMD product that Minisforum has introduced within its AtomMan lineup is the Atom HX200G which is a full-on AMD-powered design featuring the 16-core Ryzen 9 7945HX CPU and Radeon 7600M XT Mobility discrete GPU based on the RDNA 3 graphics architecture. This system complies with the AMD Advantage ecosystem and features support for DDR5 memory and PCIe Gen5 SSDs.

During the presentation, AMD showcased the HX200G Mini PC offering a 200% multi-threaded performance increase over the Ryzen 9 8945HS machines thanks to its doubled core and thread count whereas the Radeon RX 7600M XT GPU delivers a 26% performance increase versus the Radeon RX 6600M featured in the previous designs as the choice of discrete GPU.

Minisforum's new Cold Wave Extreme cooling solution has been incorporated within the HX200G, offering up to 205W cooling headroom which is achieved using an 8-heatpipe design with a liquid-metal TIM application for both the CPU and the GPU. The system will hit pre-orders on the 20th of May.

AtomMan HN149 Gaming Mini PC - Intel Core i9-14900HX With NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070

Moving over to the Intel side, Minisforum is introducing its AtomMan HN149 Gaming Mini PC which is the follow-up to its NUCX systems that launched a few years back. This vertical-styled Mini PC has a very similar design and comes equipped with the flagship Core i9-14900HX 24-core CPU from Intel and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU rated at 170W. The chassis is super slim and features dual fans for cooling equipped with 5 copper heat pipes and a cooling capacity of up to 180W. It even comes with RGB lighting.

Other specifications include support for up to 96 GB DDR5-5600 memory, two Gen4 SSDs (4 TB Max capacities), and a range of I/O ports which include a 1 GbE LAN port, 1 USB4, three USB 3.2 ports, SD card reader, HDMI 2.1, and a audio jack. Wireless connectivity is also included in the form of WIFI7 powered by Intel's BE200 controller.

The Mini PC comes with a 280W power adapter and has a dedicated switch which lets you switch between office and gaming modes. The whole PC measures 396.5x236.4x32.5mm. Minisforum is stating a 20th May pre-order date for the HN149.

AtomMan Atom UH185 - Intel Core Ultra CPU With A LCD Twist

Lastly, Minisforum unveiled its first AI Mini PC, the UH185 Ultra which also falls within the AtomMan branding. This PC is designed with the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H CPU which offers 16 cores, 22 threads, a boost clock of up to 5.1 GHz, 24 MB cache, and a TDP that is set at 45W at base and up to 115W (MTP). It also packs an Intel Arc Graphics with 8 Xe Cores clocked at 2350 MHz.

The PC offers support for up to 96 GB DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM and two Gen4 SSDs (2230+2280). The 4-inch LCD on the front is used for real-time stats monitoring and the device is fully compliant with Windows Hello voice assistant. If you want to extend the graphics capabilities, then the UH185 also comes with an OCULINK port. There are also two 5 GbE LAN ports plus WIFI 7 support which offers great networking capabilities.

The whole PC measures 145x145x48.6mm and will also be available in Core Ultra 5 155H and Core Ultra 5 125H variants. Expect more information on these products from Minisforum in the months ahead.
