According to the Zhitong Finance App, GBA Group (00261) announced its 2023 results. Continued operating revenue was approximately HK$78.4 million, an increase of about 41.2% over the previous year. The loss attributable to equity owners was HK$98.4 million, a year-on-year decrease of approximately 44.1%. Loss per share was HK14.5 cents.
According to the announcement, since the company is still in a state of loss, the fair value of financial assets recorded at fair value and treated in profit and loss accounts decreased due to a decline in the fair value of financial assets; due to the slow recovery of the high-end restaurant market in Hong Kong, leading to losses in the catering and food-related business; and losses in the property business due to weak sales prices.
