According to the Zhitong Finance App, CLP Huada Technology (00085) announced its annual results for the year ended December 31, 2023. The group achieved revenue of HK$3,019 billion during the period, up 21.59% year on year; profit attributable to shareholders was HK$686 million, up 29.17% year on year; basic profit per share was 33.82 HK cents; and plans to pay a final dividend of HK10.5 cents per share.
According to the announcement, the supply and demand relationship in the domestic integrated circuit chip market will gradually reverse in 2023, and industry competition will intensify, leading to a gradual decline in smart card chip sales prices in the second half of the year. However, due to the shortage of smart card chip products due to the continued shortage of integrated circuit production capacity in 2022, the sales prices of some of the Group's main products were still high in the first quarter of 2023. As a result, the average sales price of products sold during the year was still higher than last year. Combined with the increase in sales volume compared to last year, the Group's revenue increased year-on-year.
