According to the Zhitong Finance App, Baoye Group (02355) announced its annual results for the year ended December 31, 2023. The group achieved a turnover of RMB 26.479 billion (same unit), an increase of 8.4% over the previous year; profit attributable to company owners was 889 million yuan, an increase of 26.18% over the previous year; profit per share was 1.69 yuan.
For the year ended December 31, 2023, the Group's construction business achieved a turnover of about 16.015 billion yuan, down about 7% from last year; operating profit was about 614 million yuan, a sharp increase of about 92% over last year, mainly due to the land and housing of the Group's wholly-owned subsidiary in Wuhan City, Hubei Province being expropriated by the government due to urban rail transit construction, and the Group received a one-time compensation revenue of about 337 million yuan. Excluding this one-time compensation income, the profit from construction operations was basically the same as last year.
