Gelonghui March 28 | Air China (00753.HK) announced its 2023 annual results. During the reporting period, the Group achieved operating revenue of RMB 141,100 billion, an increase of RMB 88.203 billion over the previous year, or 166.74%. Among them, air transport revenue was RMB 134.681 billion, an increase of RMB 86.300 billion, or 178.38%; other operating revenue was RMB 6.419 billion, an increase of RMB 1,902 billion, or 42.11%. Net loss attributable to the company's shareholders was RMB 1,038 million.

During the reporting period, the Group achieved passenger revenue of RMB 13.517 billion, an increase of RMB 92.220 billion over the previous year. Among them, revenue increased by RMB 78.135 billion due to increased capacity investment, increased revenue of RMB 19.465 billion due to increased passenger seat utilization, and decreased revenue of RMB 5.380 billion due to lower revenue levels. During the reporting period, the Group achieved cargo and mail transportation revenue of RMB 4.165 billion, a year-on-year decrease of RMB 5.92 billion. Among them, revenue increased by RMB 1,601 billion due to increased capacity investment, decreased revenue by RMB 2,746 billion due to lower freight rate, and decreased revenue by RMB 4.775 billion due to lower revenue levels.

In 2023, the Group introduced a total of 23 aircraft, including 7 A350, 3 A321NEO, 3 A320NEO, 1 B737-800, and 9 ARJ21-700. A total of 12 aircraft were withdrawn, including 3 A330-200, 1 A320, 7 B737-800, and 1 business jet. By the end of 2023, the Group's fleet had 905 aircraft, with an average age of 9.36 years. Among them, the company's fleet consists of 495 aircraft, with an average age of 9.12 years. The company introduced 20 aircraft and withdrew 12 aircraft.
