According to the Zhitong Finance App, Guoquan (02517) announced the results for the year ended December 31, 2023. The group achieved revenue of 6.094 billion yuan (RMB, same below) during the period; profit attributable to shareholders of 240 million yuan, an increase of 4.23% over the previous year; basic profit per share of 8.94 points; and plans to distribute a final dividend of 0.0521 yuan per share.
According to the announcement, gross profit increased 8.2% from 1,249 billion yuan in 2022 to 1,351 billion yuan during the period, and the gross margin improved from 17.4% in 2022 to 22.2% during the period, mainly due to better cost control capabilities brought about by the advantage of scale, the development of new products and the upgrading of original products, and additional gross profit generated by the increase in the self-production ratio after the acquisition of the factory.
Despite the challenging and uncertain economic environment of 2023, the Group's retail network continues to expand. As of December 31, 2023, the Group had 10,307 retail stores in 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities across the country.
