According to the Zhitong Finance App, China Baiyin Group (00815) announced its annual results for the year ended December 31, 2023. The group achieved revenue of 5,545 billion yuan (RMB, same below) during the period, an increase of 71.6% over the previous year; profit attributable to company owners was 145.49 million yuan; loss attributable to company owners was 121 million yuan; basic profit per share was 0.007 yuan.
According to the announcement, sales of silver ingots increased sharply from about 1,426 billion yuan for the year ended 31 December 2022 to about 5,045 billion yuan for the year ended 31 December 2023, a sharp increase of about 253.8% over 2022. This year, there were no palladium sales (2022:7 million yuan) and lead ingot sales (2022:8.6 million yuan).
The overall increase in sales was mainly due to increased production in Jiangxi Longtianyong. As Jiangxi Longtianyong resumed production activities on its silver electrolysis production line on June 17, 2022, it achieved production for about 6 months in the year ended December 31, 2022, and annual production for the year ended December 31, 2023.
