According to the Zhitong Finance App, Brainstorm Technology (02203) announced its 2023 results, with a turnover of approximately HK$221 million, a year-on-year decrease of 16.2%; net loss of HK$34.116 million, a year-on-year narrowing of 40.78%; and a loss of 4.26 HK cents per share.
According to the announcement, the decline in turnover was mainly due to a decrease in the turnover of the semiconductor business. During the current period, the turnover from semiconductor production decreased by approximately 24.7% compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year. In addition to its production business, the Group continued to operate its trading business during this period, mainly to cooperate with the sale of its own manufactured products. As a solution integrator, the Group is engaged in buying and selling semiconductors specific to the needs of its customers. However, these semiconductors are not manufactured by the Group. The product mix that customers require has changed over time. During this period, turnover from semiconductor trading decreased by approximately 8.3% compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year.
