According to the Zhitong Finance App, Greentech International (00195) announced the results for the year ended December 31, 2023. The group achieved revenue of HK$821 million, a year-on-year decrease of 11.86%; profit attributable to company owners was HK$68.39 million, a year-on-year decrease of 68.35%; and a profit of HK$5 per share.
According to the announcement, the decrease in profit was mainly due to a drop in the average tin price (resulting in a decrease in revenue), an increase in administrative and other expenses in the current year, no fair value income from financial instruments in 2023 (2022: approximately HK$23.36 million), and net exchange gains of approximately HK$20.69 million in 2022 (while the Group earned a net exchange loss of approximately HK$2,816 million for the year ended 31 December 2023).
