The group achieved revenue of HK$2,177 billion during the period, a year-on-year decrease of 6.97%; losses attributable to shareholders were HK$43.801 million; profit attributable to shareholders was HK$244.14 million for the same period last year, a year-on-year profit of HK$244.14 million; a basic loss of HK5.08 cents per share.
According to the announcement, the decline in revenue was mainly due to weak global economic recovery, which led to stagnant demand in the Chinese and global manufacturing industries and sluggish consumer confidence, leading to a decline in sales in most of the Group's business segments.
