According to the Zhitong Finance App, ATV Optics (01120) announced results for the year ended December 31, 2023, with revenue of HK$1,196 billion, up 4.6% year on year; profit attributable to company owners was HK$51.31 million, down 55.3% year on year; profit per share was 13.29 HK cents, with a proposed final dividend of HK5.0 cents per share.
The reasons for the decrease in net profit attributable to company owners were mainly due to the following: net income of HK$58.8 million from the sale of properties in 2022, but no net relevant income was obtained in 2023; and due to the depreciation of RMB against the US dollar during 2022, significant net exchange gains of HK$30.2 million were obtained in 2022, while net exchange losses of HK$13.5 million were obtained in 2023.
