According to the Zhitong Finance App, Ruian Jianye (00983) announced results for the year ended December 31, 2023, with a turnover of HK$8.336 billion, up 32.2% year on year; loss attributable to shareholders of HK$155 million, a year-on-year narrowing of 33.2%; and a basic loss of HK$0.41 per share.
Losses in 2023 were mainly due to a sharp increase in net financial expenses to HK$212 million due to tightening financial market conditions, and a reduction in the fair value of mainland investment properties by HK$133 million compared to 2022, compared to HK$138 million and HK$100 million respectively.
