According to the announcement, the profit of the infrastructure environmental protection business this year was HK$2,321 billion, up 20.5% from the previous year, accounting for about 64.2% of the Group's net profit. The increase in profits is mainly due to the rapid decline in epidemic control factors since the beginning of the year, a sharp increase in toll road traffic and toll revenue, and a sharp increase in subsequent travel conditions, and a surge in travel demand. The real estate business achieved a profit contribution of HK$839 million in 2023, up 180.1% year on year, accounting for about 23.2% of the Group's net profit, mainly due to the year-on-year increase in operating performance during the year. The company holds a 49% interest in the “Shangshi Haiwan” project of Shanghai Industrial Development Co., Ltd. (Shangshi Development). The sales revenue obtained by the project this year greatly increased the company's share of the project's profit.
