According to the Zhitong Finance App, Yuanhui Group (00585) announced the results for the year ended December 31, 2023. The group obtained total revenue of HK$49.033 million, a year-on-year decrease of 16.72%; losses attributable to company owners were HK$12.845 million, an increase of 17.07% over the previous year; and a loss of 2 Hong Kong cents per share.
According to the announcement, the increase in losses was mainly due to a decrease in revenue for the year under review, interest income from loans receivable decreased from about HK$16 million to about HK$10 million and the total revenue of the securities brokerage and asset management division decreased from about HK$49 million to approximately HK$42 million; and unrealized losses classified as changes in fair value held for trading financial assets increased from approximately HK$13.1 million to approximately HK$20.9 million in the year under review. The above factors were partially offset by losses from the non-sale of the associated company (2022: approximately HK$6.9 million).
