According to the Zhitong Finance App, Rongyang Industrial (02078) announced annual results for the year ended December 31, 2023, with continuous operating revenue of HK$1,037 million, a year-on-year decrease of 35.7%; the company owners should have accounted for profit of HK$28.163 million during the year, while losses of about HK$105 million were recorded in the same period in 2022; profit per share was HK2.4 cents.
According to reports, during this year, the Group's overall sales volume was about 34,700 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 29.0% compared with last year. During the year, gross profit was approximately HK$164 million, a year-on-year decrease of 26.6%. Due to continuous efforts to control costs and improve production efficiency, the Group's gross margin increased to about 15.8% during the year (year ended December 31, 2022: approximately 13.8%).
