The Zhitong Finance App learned that the Hong Kong Immigration Department estimates that during the Easter and Ching Ming Festival holidays this year (that is, March 28 to April 7), about 11 million people (including Hong Kong residents and visitors) are expected to enter and leave Hong Kong through various sea, land and air control points. After negotiations between the Hong Kong Immigration Department and the Mainland's Shenzhen Border Control Terminal and other departments, it is estimated that about 9.5 million people will enter and leave Hong Kong through various land border control points. Among them, the Lo Wu, Lok Ma Chau branch lines and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge will be very busy. Lo Wu Control Point, Lok Ma Chau Branch Line Control Point and Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Control Point have an average of about 207,000, 169,000 and 143,000 visitors per day, respectively.

The Hong Kong Immigration Department also estimates that the busiest day to leave the country by land was March 29 (Friday), with about 601,000 people leaving the country, while the peak entry period was April 1 (Monday), with about 589,000 arrivals.

The Hong Kong Immigration Department said that it has reduced the number of vacations for frontline personnel in order to flexibly allocate manpower and open additional inspection counters and passageways to channel the flow of people and traffic. On the other hand, the Hong Kong Immigration Department, together with the Police Force, Customs and MTR Corporation (00066), will also set up a joint command center at the Lo Wu Control Point to make corresponding arrangements and measures, and work closely with mainland departments such as the Shenzhen Border Control Terminal to closely monitor the traffic situation and take appropriate diversion guidance measures when necessary to ensure the smooth flow of customs personnel.
