Boustead's MHS Aviation and Westair Helicopters Sign 7-year Offshore Lease Deal in Namibia

Boustead Holdings Bhd subsidiary, MHS Aviation Bhd (MHS), and Westair Helicopters have inked a seven-year leasing agreement to enhance offshore helicopter operations in Namibia, Africa.

Commencing from August 2024, Westair will lease the oil & gas (O&G) configured Airbus H175 to initiate offshore flights in the African region, marking a significant advancement in operational excellence and sustainability within the offshore O&G sector.

MHS CEO, Mohd Fakhrul Arifin Adinan, highlighted that integrating the Airbus H175 into Namibian operations reflects MHS's strategic expansion and dedication to eco-efficiency and innovative service.

The introduction of this advanced fleet underscores a commitment to the future of offshore operations in the African market.

The Airbus H175 helicopter, certified to fly with sustainable aviation fuel, aligns with shared commitments to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles, promising increased flight safety, enhanced passenger comfort, and greater operational versatility.
