The group achieved revenue of HK$1,946 million, a year-on-year decrease of 14.64%; profit attributable to shareholders of HK$204 million, a year-on-year decrease of 10.01%; basic profit per share of HK$0.25; proposed to pay a final dividend of HK$7.5 per share and a special dividend of HK$10 per share.
According to the announcement, the mold manufacturing division's revenue for external customers in 2023 was approximately HK$620 million, an increase of about HK$13.4 million or 2.2% over the 2022 revenue of approximately HK$606 million. In the past two years, due to epidemic prevention and control and the shortage of semiconductors and spare parts, automobile production was limited, which had an impact on the automotive mold industry. With supply chain adjustments, supply shortages of key components such as semiconductors have eased, the automotive industry is recovering, and the Group's mold orders are gradually recovering.
The injection molding component manufacturing division generated revenue of approximately HK$1,326 million in 2023, a decrease of approximately HK$347 million, or 20.7%, compared with revenue of approximately HK$1,673 million in 2022. Affected by various factors such as economic weakness, high inflation, and high interest rates, European and American consumers are more conservative in their spending intentions. The consumer electronics and smart products markets have not clearly recovered after excessive expansion during the epidemic, and demand for products was significantly sluggish during the year.
