Gelonghui, March 22丨Limin Industrial (00229.HK) announced its results for the year ended December 31, 2023. Due to the successful launch of new products in the market segment, the Group's consolidated turnover in fiscal year 2023 increased to HK$1,363 billion, an increase of about 28.19% over the same period last year. The Group's net profit was HK$678.71 million, an increase of approximately 122.50% over the net profit of HK$30.54 million for the same period of fiscal year 2022. The basic profit per share was HK13.54 cents. The Board recommended a final dividend of HK4 cents per common share and a special dividend of HK6 cents per share.
The sharp increase in net profit was due to the Group's business recovery and cost control in the post-coronavirus era, as well as a series of favorable macroeconomic factors: a strong dollar, appreciation of the pound, depreciation of the RMB, and rising interest rates, which increased the Group's interest income. Although demand for air purification products has declined due to the return to normal life in regions around the world other than China and Hong Kong, the Group has successfully launched new consumer products that consumers will buy in the post-coronavirus era.
