Following a special resolution to approve the proposed change of the company name at the special shareholders' meeting held on February 8, 2024, (i) the Registrar of Cayman Islands Companies issued a registration certificate for the change of name on February 23, 2024, certifying that the company's English name was changed from “Michong Metaverse (China) Holdings Group” to “Metaverse Byte Metaverse “Holdings Limited” and used the dual foreign name “Bitmetaverse Holdings Limited” to replace the company's old Chinese name “Rice Bug Yuanuniverse (China) Holding Group Limited”, and (ii) the Registrar of Hong Kong Companies issued a registration certificate for a registered non-Hong Kong company on March 18, 2024 to confirm that the company's new English and Chinese names have been registered in Hong Kong in accordance with Part 16 of the Companies Ordinance, Chapter 622 of the Hong Kong Laws.
The English and Chinese stock abbreviations of the company's shares traded on GEM on the Stock Exchange will be changed from “MICHONG META” to “BYTE META” and from “rice bug metaverse” to “bit metaverse”, respectively. Both the new English and Chinese stock abbreviations will take effect from 9:00 a.m. on March 27, 2024. The company's stock code “8645” on the Stock Exchange remains unchanged.
