According to Zhitong Finance App, Zen Travel Technology (02660) announced its annual results for the year ended December 31, 2023. The group obtained revenue of RMB 2,059 billion (RMB, same below) during the period, an increase of 16.52%; profit attributable to shareholders of 726 million yuan, an increase of 6.62% over the previous year; basic profit per share of 72.38 points; and proposed to pay a final dividend of HK$0.23 per share.
According to the announcement, the increase in revenue is mainly due to the combined effects of an increase in ARPPU for group board games; a decrease in the number of users of group games; and a decrease in revenue generated by in-game information services. For the year ended 31 December 2023, the Group's revenue from the sale of virtual goods was approximately 1.96 billion yuan, an increase of 27.3% over approximately 1.54 billion yuan for the year ended 31 December 2022. On the other hand, for the year ended December 31, 2023, the Group's revenue from in-game information services was about 96.9 million yuan, a decrease of 57.1% compared with about 226 million yuan for the year ended December 31, 2022, mainly due to a decrease in revenue generated from in-game information services for board games.
