MGM Resorts International (NYSE:MGM) could be looking to sell some of its casino assets once again. Sources tipped to Bloomberg that the casino resort operator is exploring the sale of casino operations at Ohio’s Northfield Park horse track and in Springfield, Massachusetts.
The company is working with financial advisers, although the discussions were described as preliminary in nature. MGM Resorts (MGM) had not issued an official comments on the report at the time of publication.
The real estate at both casinos identified in the report is owned by real estate investment trust firm VICI Properties (NYSE:VICI).
Earlier in the year, analysts suggested that MGM Resorts (MGM) may look to sell some assets this year in a bid to boost its share price.
Shares of MGM Resorts (MGM) traded flat in late afternoon action on Wednesday, while VICI Properties (VICI) showed a 0.95% gain. Both MGM and VICI are in negative territory for the year.
