According to the Zhitong Finance App, BOSSINI INT'L (00592) announced results for the year ended December 31, 2023. The group achieved revenue of HK$604 million, an increase of 3% over the previous year; the owner of the company should have accounted for losses of HK$223 million during the year, an increase of 69% over the previous year; and a loss of 7.31 HK cents per share.
According to the announcement, the increase in losses was mainly due to a one-time gain of HK$174 million from the sale of assets held for sale for the year ended 31 December 2022. Excluding the one-time gain from the sale of assets held for sale, the loss attributable to the company owner was HK$306 million for the year ended 31 December 2022, while the loss attributable to the company owner decreased by 27% during the year under review. The decrease in losses was mainly due to improved gross margin for the year ended 31 December 2023; reduced impairment of property, plant and equipment, and right-of-use assets; and effective cost control.
