Gelonghui, March 19, 丨 Nanhua Group Holdings (00413.HK) announced that for the year ended December 31, 2023, the Group recorded total revenue of HK$2,887 million, a decrease of about 24% compared with 2022; annual loss after tax was HK$42 million, while profit after tax in 2022 was HK$66 million. The basic loss per share attributable to company owners for the year was HK0.2 cents (2022: basic profit per share: HK0.6 cents).
The annual loss was mainly due to (i) a decrease in purchase orders for toy products from major customers; (ii) an increase in financial expenses, mainly due to a rise in interbank interest rates in Hong Kong; and (iii) a decrease in earnings from the sale of ship bonds. The impact of the above factors outweighed the increase in revenue from confirmed sales of subsidiaries this year. Despite the loss recorded during the year, the Group's overall financial, business and trade situation remained stable.
