The Novo Nordisk (NVO.US) Foundation will partner with Nvidia (NVDA.US) to build a supercomputer in Denmark to drive research and innovation in healthcare, life sciences, and the green transition.
The Zhitong Finance App learned that the Novo Nordisk (NVO.US) Foundation (the corporate foundation behind Novo Nordisk) will collaborate with Nvidia (NVDA.US) to build a supercomputer in Denmark to promote research and innovation in healthcare, life sciences, and green transformation.
According to a statement, the computer will run Nvidia's artificial intelligence technology and be one of the most powerful computers in the world. Researchers in the Danish public and private sectors will be able to use this computer.
The foundation has promised to fund the supercomputer center about 600 million kroner (about 87 million US dollars), while the Danish Export and Investment Fund will contribute 100 million kroner. The Atos Group's Eviden company will deliver and install the machine named Gefion in late 2024.
