According to the Zhitong Finance App, Beijing Energy International (00686) announced that the Group expects to obtain a comprehensive net profit of about RMB 460 million for the year ending December 31, 2023, of which the net comprehensive profit should be accounted for by the company's equity holders is approximately RMB 30 million. For the year ended 31 December 2022, the Group achieved a comprehensive net profit of approximately RMB 472 million, of which the net consolidated profit attributable to the company's equity holders was approximately RMB 269 million.
In 2023, the Group will continue to focus on the development, construction, operation and management of power plants and other clean energy projects. On December 31, 2023, the total grid-connected installed capacity of the power plants beneficially owned by the Group and its associated companies was about 9.15 gigawatts, an increase of about 57% over the total grid-connected installed capacity on December 31, 2022. The Group's revenue and EBITDA are expected to increase by approximately 28% and 30% respectively in 2023.
According to the announcement, compared with 2022, the expected decline in comprehensive net profit attributable to the company's equity holders in 2023 is mainly due to: the depreciation of the Group's solar power plant in Inner Mongolia; and the estimated increase in depreciation and financing costs of property, plant and equipment in 2023 by about 45% and 31%, respectively.
