According to the Zhitong Finance App, HK Electric - SS (02638) announced the results for the full year of 2023. The Trust Group obtained revenue of HK$11.406 billion, an increase of 5.68% over the previous year; profit attributable to share holders was HK$3.156 billion, up 6.84% year on year; profit per share was 35.72 HK cents, and the trust distributed HK16.09 cents at the end of each share order.
HK Electric Investors and its wholly-owned subsidiary HK Electric successfully completed the 2019-2023 development plan in 2023. The plan, with a total investment of HK$26.6 billion, includes the construction of 3 gas generators and a joint venture offshore liquefied natural gas receiving station, which will help HK Electric increase its gas power generation ratio to about 70% starting in 2024, and support Hong Kong's carbon reduction vision. During the planning period, we will also launch a series of projects to support the community, enhance energy efficiency and save energy.
